Natur Food is a family company that began its activities more than Sixty years ago. Its founder Mr. Cristóbal Jiménez started in the nineteen forties the hard task of selling to the big supply markets and the small neighbourhood corner shops.  It is a working method that has evolved and adapted to changes throughout the years. In 1951 the first generation change occurred after the death of its founder; at that time there was a small portfolio of products which have been maintained until today. In 1982 its name was changed to R. JIGAR S.L. and became a limited company. It goes on to have its current registered address and start-up a small distribution platform in Madrid, with the aim to gather and distribute all the products in a standard, simple and quicker manner. These changes allowed the company to focus on large clients in Spain such as Alcampo , Dia , Carrefour, Superdiplo (Ahold), Caprabo, Mercadona etc.

With the arrival of the 21^st century, the full globalisation era and with the third generation already incorporated, the company decided to perform a viability plan for its internationalisation.

 

1.     VEGETABLE PRESERVES

 

PEAS

 

They are produced in the area of Navarra and we classify these products in three calibres:

 

            MEDIUM

            FINE

            VERY FINE

 

In all cases they are a natural product packed straight from the field.

The production process is supervised from the beginning, with additional fields chosen in order to cover the demand.

            The farmer only has to care for his field according to our process; in order to obtain a homogeneous product we even provide the farmer with the seeds.

           

Product produced in the months of May, June and July.

 

                      

GREEN BEANS

 

Produced in the area of Navarra, there are two product classifications, thick and fine.

 

They are produced during the summer period; we obtain our raw material from cooperatives which we have been working with for many years, and they supply us with a product with the texture and colour appropriate for our needs.

 

Mixed vegetables

 

Produced in Navarra during the months of October and November.

This product is a homogeneous mix of equal portions of peas, carrots and diced beans and potatoes.  

 

Peppers

 

Our peppers come from the greenhouses from the south of Spain in Murcia and Almeria where they are washed, selected and packed to travel to Navarra where they are analytically controlled.

2.     OLIVE OIL

EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil  

 

 

Top quality product which comes from Andalucía. Made from a first mechanical pressing of the olives, we obtain a juice which is beneficial to health.

 

In order to obtain quality oil it is essential to collect the olives in their optimum maturity; they are collected very carefully in order not to damage the fruit and transport them as soon as possible to the mill to grind and then obtain the olive oil after the first pressing.

 

The oil is then placed in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the product at a regular temperature and in total darkness until it is bottled.

 

 

 

 

3.     Mayonnaises and Sauces

 

Produced with the most advanced techniques, allowing us to be very competitive in quality and assortment; also competitive both in the diversification of the assortment and the packing, which range from sachets for different mayonnaises and sauces, to formats for housewives in glass or plastic jars (PET). We also provide formats of up to 10 Kg for the catering sector. 

 

We can offer a customized development of products for our customers both in the formulation of the product under NATURFOOD or with the customer’s brand name.

 

We are able to provide products with certificates of non-genetically modified products and suitable for celiac consumers (intolerance to gluten).

4.     BONITO DE NORTE (Spanish white tuna)

 

Product produced and packed manually with olive oil, tuna from the Bay of Biscay in the north of Spain.

Its specialised presentation in glass jars allows the product to be seen.
